Dr. Robbin S. Gurr earned a Masters degree in School Psychology in 1980 from Hofstra University. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in Professional Psychology with a dual specialization in Clinical and School Psychology. Dr. Robbin Schneider Gurr is both a certified school psychologist and a licensed psychologist in New York State. She has worked in both capacities for many years. In addition, Dr. Robbin Schneider Gurr is certified as a specialist in the treatment of alcohol and other psychoactive substance use by the American Psychological Association College of Proficiency.

Her experiences have included working with a variety of populations in residential treatment facilities, clinics, and schools.
